The differentiator is the certification. OK Compost HOME requires degradation at ambient backyard conditions (20–30 °C) within 12 months — a higher bar than industrial compostable.
Where it sits in our range. ES-GB-09 is our entry-level dog bag — approximately 8–12 % less expensive per unit than the handle-tie ES-GB-10.

Frequently asked questions
Can I really compost these in my backyard with dog poop inside?
The bag itself is OK Compost HOME certified and will biodegrade in your backyard compost within 12 months. However, we recommend NOT composting dog waste in backyard compost used for edible plants — dog feces can contain pathogens (E. coli, salmonella, parasites) that home compost piles may not reach sufficient temperatures to kill. The best practice: use the bag to collect waste, then dispose via municipal pet waste collection or a dedicated pet waste composter (sold separately) that reaches sanitization temperatures.
How do these compare to Earth Rated and other popular brands?
Most popular dog bag brands (including Earth Rated's standard line) are conventional plastic and will never biodegrade. Earth Rated's "plant-based" bags contain some bio-based content but are not certified compostable. ESINLE bags are TUV Austria OK Compost HOME certified — independently verified home compostability. We are approximately 10–15% more expensive per bag than conventional brands at retail volumes, but the certification difference is categorical, not incremental.
What is the shelf life of these dog bags?
At recommended storage conditions (20–25°C, 40–60% RH) in original packaging, shelf life is 12+ months. The thin 15μm gauge makes these bags slightly more sensitive to high humidity than thicker products — store rolls in sealed packaging until ready to use. A roll in a standard leash dispenser will remain usable for 3–6 months under normal conditions.
