The differentiator is colour range. At 20 μm with ASTM D6400 (BPI) certification, ES-GB-03 is available in green, natural, white, grey, and black — enabling single-SKU procurement for multi-stream waste programmes.

Maximum recommended load of 6 kg at 20μm gauge. For heavier loads (construction debris, glass recycling), upgrade to 30μm+ gauge or our heavy-duty line. Prolonged liquid pooling (more than 4 hours) may cause seepage. Not suitable for outdoor yard waste with sharp branches or thorns — use our heavy-duty 33–55 gallon bags for garden applications.

Frequently asked questions
Can these handle wet kitchen waste like coffee grounds and food scraps?
Yes. The 20μm gauge with reinforced side seams handles typical kitchen waste including wet coffee grounds, vegetable peels, and food scraps. We recommend emptying the bag within 48 hours for wet organic waste to prevent any potential moisture seepage. The bag will not begin composting during normal use — degradation requires the heat, moisture, and microbial activity of a compost environment.
What is the cost comparison with standard Glad/Hefty kitchen bags?
At retail-equivalent volumes, our 15-gallon compostable bags are approximately 15–20% more expensive than conventional PE kitchen bags. At distributor/wholesale volumes (500+ cartons), the premium narrows to 8–12%. Are the color pigments compostable too?
Yes. All color masterbatch used in our assorted color bags is EN 13432 certified compostable. The pigments are heavy-metal-free and biodegradable as part of the complete bag. The color does not affect the compostability certification or degradation timeline.
