How do these compare to your 2.6-gallon drawstring bags?
The 4-gallon bags are approximately 30% larger by volume, making them suitable for bins that the 2.6-gallon size cannot fully line. Construction is identical (18μm gauge, PLA+PBAT drawstring, star-seal bottom), just scaled up. Choose based on your bin size: 2.6 gal for desktop/small bathroom bins, 4 gal for larger bathroom, nursery, and home office bins.
Are these strong enough for diaper disposal?
Yes. The star-seal bottom and 18μm gauge handle typical diaper pail loads of 1–2 kg without issue. We recommend cinching the drawstring after each disposal session to contain odors, and emptying the pail every 2–3 days. For high-volume diaper use (daycare, multiples), consider upgrading to our 20μm+ gauge option.
What certifications cover the nursery-safe claim?
Our bags are tested to FDA 21 CFR 176.170 for incidental food contact, are BPA-free per EU 10/2011, phthalate-free per CPSIA, and PFAS-free per EPA Method 537. SGS heavy metals testing (less than 90 days old) is included with every shipment. Full test reports available in our distributor portal.
