The differentiator is texture. 100% PLA spunbond nonwoven at 40–60 gsm delivers a soft, linen-like drape and a matte, non-reflective surface — the kind of tablecloth a wedding planner or hotel F&B director specifies when disposable convenience must not signal disposable quality.

HONEST TRANSPARENCY
Limitations & Storage
Water-resistant but not waterproof — prolonged exposure to pooled liquids will penetrate the nonwoven structure. For high-spill settings, use ES-TC-01 film as an underlay. Not designed for multi-day outdoor exposure — UV radiation accelerates PLA degradation; for multi-day outdoor events, replace daily. Tear strength is lower than PBAT/PLA film — not recommended for tables subject to dragging or aggressive repositioning during service.

Frequently asked questions
Is it waterproof like a plastic tablecloth?
PLA nonwoven is water-resistant — it repels light spills, condensation, and brief liquid contact — but it is not fully waterproof. For high-spill or outdoor-buffet applications, we recommend pairing it with our compostable film tablecloth (ES-TC-01) as an impermeable underlay. The two-layer system gives you fabric aesthetics on top with waterproof protection underneath, and both layers are compostable.
What does it feel like compared to a fabric tablecloth?
At 50–60 gsm, it has a soft, drapey hand-feel similar to a lightweight linen or cotton tablecloth. It does not have the plastic shine or crinkle of PE/PEVA table covers. Most guests cannot tell it is a disposable product until they touch the surface. For event planners, this means you get the visual quality of linen without the rental cost per table.
Can I order pre-cut sheets instead of rolls?
Yes — single-sheet die-cut tablecloths (rectangular or round, any standard table size) are available at MOQ 1 ton. Sheets can be folded and individually packed in compostable OPP-alternative bags, ready for retail shelf or direct-to-venue distribution. Standard banquet sizes (54″×108″, 54″×54″, 108″ round) are the most common pre-cut formats.
