The differentiator is reusability by design. At 50 μm gauge with reinforced gusset seams, this bag is engineered for 15–20 reuse cycles — not marketed as reusable after one trip.
Where it sits in our range. ES-SB-04 is the most expensive per-unit bag in our shopping line — roughly 3× the cost of ES-SB-03 — but the cost-per-use economics invert when customers reuse it.

The 25-micron film, while durable, is not a permanent textile. Customers should be educated that the bag's eventual return to soil is a feature, not a defect. For applications requiring indefinite reuse (100+ cycles), a recycled PET tote with a take-back program may be more appropriate.

How many uses can I realistically expect before composting?
Our wear-testing protocol (500 cycles at 5 lb load) showed no functional degradation. In real-world use, customers typically report 20-50 shopping trips before the first signs of film thinning appear. The bag remains compostable regardless of how many times it is used.
Does the printing hold up to repeated use?
Our flexographic inks are UV-cured for abrasion resistance. In wash-down testing (simulating light rain exposure), print legibility remained above 95% after 50 uses. The inks are water-based and compostable, so some gradual fade is expected and considered a feature — it signals the bag's natural origin.
Can this bag be washed?
Spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or submerge — prolonged water exposure will initiate the biodegradation process. Air-dry away from direct heat sources.
