Limitations & Storage
Not suitable for microwave use — PBAT softens above 60°C and may deform or melt at microwave temperatures. Not recommended for very oily foods (pure fats/oils) as lipid absorption can temporarily reduce film clarity. Keep box in a dry environment — the cardboard packaging can absorb ambient moisture which may affect the cutting performance over time.

Frequently asked questions
How does the cutter blade hold up over the life of the roll?
The serrated stainless steel blade is rated for 500+ cut cycles — more than the roll length requires. Our testing shows no measurable dulling or snagging through the full 100m roll. The blade is permanently affixed and does not detach, meeting child safety requirements.
Does the PBAT film leave any taste or odor on food?
No. PBAT is taste-neutral and odorless. Independent sensory panel testing (ISO 13301) confirmed zero detectable flavor or odor transfer after 72 hours of direct food contact with various food types (cheese, cut fruit, cooked vegetables). The film meets FDA 21 CFR and EU 10/2011 for food contact.
Is the cardboard box compostable too?
Yes. The box is made from 100% post-consumer recycled cardboard with soy-based printing inks. The box can be recycled in paper/cardboard streams or composted. The stainless steel cutter blade should be removed before composting — it is recyclable as scrap metal.
