Request the current certificate or test report and match its holder, product name, formulation, thickness, colour, printing and validity to the caddy bag being quoted. A resin or another bag format does not automatically cover the finished SKU.
Check local acceptance and claim rules
Home-compostability wording does not guarantee acceptance in every municipal food-waste program. Confirm the intended disposal route, local collection guidance and destination-market labelling requirements before printing.
Review food contact and performance separately

Wet-hold time and puncture performance vary with gauge, temperature, caddy ventilation, fill weight and contents; validate the intended workflow rather than publishing a universal duration. Store unopened rolls sealed, cool and dry, away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. Do not promise a fixed home-compost breakdown date or landfill outcome.

Are these bags home compostable or only industrially compostable?
The route depends on the exact finished SKU and its current evidence. Request the applicable certificate or test report and confirm that formulation, gauge, colour and printing are covered. Home and industrial composting are different conditions and should not be treated as interchangeable claims.
Can I put the bags in my backyard compost bin?
Only when the exact bag is supported for home composting and the local guidance permits it. An actively managed home pile needs suitable moisture, aeration and a balance of green and brown materials; performance varies with climate and management.
How long can wet food waste remain in the caddy bag?
