Are these compatible with my existing vacuum sealer machine?
Embossed channel bags work with all major external vacuum sealers including FoodSaver, Anova, NutriChef, and GERYON. For chamber vacuum machines (VacMaster, Henkelman, Multivac), we offer a smooth film version without embossing. Please confirm your machine type when ordering so we ship the correct variant.
Can I use these for sous vide cooking at high temperatures?
Yes. Our bags are tested and certified for sous vide use at temperatures up to 85°C (185°F) for cooking durations up to 24 hours. Independent migration testing per EU 10/2011 confirms no substance leaching at these temperatures. Do not exceed 85°C as PLA begins to soften above its glass transition temperature range.
How do they compare in cost to conventional FoodSaver bags?
Our compostable vacuum bags are approximately 15–20% more expensive per roll than conventional PA/PE FoodSaver-brand bags. However, the sustainability premium is typically offset by marketing value, regulatory compliance advantages in markets with pending plastic packaging bans, and the ability to charge a green premium on vacuum-sealed products.
